Chalk one up for team OhCaptain

Despite the affects of some mighty tasty Jim Beam Black, I came from a chip deficit to winning the tournament in two hands.

I think it was David Sklansky that reminds that pocket pairs are technically better the a coin flip to two over cards. With that on my mind, shoving pocket fours seemed like a good idea. Well, it could have also been the time and the distillates.

Q8 was no match more the mighty 44.

Apparently Q-8 is a good match against pocket 3's though...

Good Job. I agree with the PP vs Over cards. Still close to a flip but you have a made hand, and he is hoping to make his. Cheers!!!

I remembered this last night when I was debating whether or not to push in the Mookie. The decision to push (I won the hand) was one of the the crucial hands that helped me win.

Sweeps suck. Blow that freaking building up!
