I signed in to Full Tilt looking for a little poker something to pass me into dream land. Look who's playing the super cheap stakes Limit Hold 'em...not me...the dude across from me. What the hell is he doing at this level?

what's miss maria doing there?
Pretty cool that he fulfilled some of his FT obligation (I am guessing that he is a FT pro, right?) by playing at the micro tables.
He is one tough player.
Yeah, he's a red letter pro, that how I spotted it. I was looking to join some LHE cash games and noticed one way down at the bottom was red...sure enough, it was Kenny Tran playing in the cheap tables.
I'm surprised you didn't have to sit on a long waiting list. It seems like any time there's a pro in the micro stakes, there's a list 27 people long.
Good for him playing so low, we micro grinders deserve our celebrity spotting too!
Did you play any pots against him?
Only one that I remember, mucked it to him. It was a $1 table so I only played for a little while before losing a pretty huge pot to a 4 outer on the river. The mighty ducks took my queens down with a 4 card straight. Sigh. I try not to play this far down too often. I get a better return on finding money on the sidewalk.
I've heard that several pros have Ferguson-like prop bets going on - trying to turn $1 into $10K. Maybe he was doing something like that, although in the pic he only has $.87 in front. I can't imagine he's doing too well.

Doc - he reloaded at least once while I was there. At those stakes, it's a craps shoot to make money and being a pro, people were chasing all kinds of crazy hands and draws.
I'd agree with Doc, its a Ferguson Challenge.
I don't see Kenny Tran being the type to partake in the Chris Ferguson challenge. I think some, but not all, of the red pros are obligated to play micro MTT's and cash games from time to time and that's all this was.
Kenny makes bank in the Hollywood home games and at the Commerce.
Kenny Tran is a very superstitious player. I wouldn't be surprise if he was 'burning' off some bad cards.
