I don't like the minraise preflop there, even with AA. I probably pop it to 200 pf. Hard to see if 77 calls the 3-bet, but early in a tourney, you're probably right.
It doesn't get much sicker than that!
There's an expression in poker "Don't be afraid of quads." You were always going to go broke.
That suckssssssss, but I also agree with mondo. I actually repop a lil less than three times the initial raise. Depending on the player, those 7's just might go into the muck with a raise and a nice reraise. Like if it was 80 to start, I will look creative and raise to about 225.
Just because I can.
Well of course you are supposed to go broke here!! Virtual or real cash, lol.
Love the blog.......any "Led Head" is a friend of mine. I can just hear Cheap Sunglasses right now.......

Go broke, don't give it much more thought. Although maybe 3rd min-raise on river should set off alarm bells.

Running into quads will happen...next game is a few clicks away. Having said that, I don't like to encourage more than one person when I'm holding a big pair. Your re-min raise preflop I don't think I'd ever do, unless I was short stacked, and then I'd welcome more players, realizing the gamble just increased, but a good one at that.

Doh! Was that someone else playing under your screen name?
Because the OhCaptain that I know, knows how to play poker. And anyone that knows how to play poker knows that Pre-Flop was the worst possible way to play Aces EVAR!
No way that was you there. I just don't believe it.
Agree with the previous comments about the preflop raise. I would have raised more to isolate or take down the pot preflop.
Nothing you can do about quads. I don't know too many people who would ever fold your hand.
I also don't like the min raise preflop. You don't want a bunch of callers when you have AA. It means you are much more likely to get beat by a drawing hand. Also, facing a sizable raise, I would lay down the 77 (meaning a good poker player probably folds the hand and then is pissed when he sees that he would have flopped quads). Although, once the flop comes, if 77 called preflop, you are probably going to go broke.
